A Five-Day Restoration Window
Great Wolf Lodge’s annual shutdown left very little room for delays. Our team was responsible for restoring four heavily worn waterslides within just five days. The slides had seen significant use and needed focused cosmetic and surface restoration, but the schedule meant every phase of the project had to be carefully planned and executed from the moment work began.
Multiple Trades Working at Once
Our crew was not working in an empty facility. Concrete, steel, welding, and other contractors were completing their own projects throughout the same shutdown. With multiple crews sharing the site and every contractor working toward the same reopening deadline, coordination was critical. Our team had to stay productive without interfering with the other work happening around us.
Three Restoration Processes, Four Slides
Each area of the slides required a different approach. Exterior runouts received new gel-coat work, slide exteriors were refinished with high-solids marine-grade paint, and the interiors were wet sanded and buffed to restore their finish. Despite the compressed schedule and busy jobsite, all four slides were completed one full day ahead of the five-day deadline, delivering what the client described as a
“night-and-day difference.”
